For 28 years, Ida Kavafian has been the Artistic Director of Music from Angel Fire in New Mexico. She also founded and guided Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival as Music Director for ten years, building it into one of the leading festivals in the country. As an educator, Ida Kavafian is on the faculty of the Curtis Institute and the new Conservatory of Music at Bard College, and has served on numerous competition juries and boards, including Chamber Music America.
Nancy Ondov has been in the field of non-profit administration for more than 20 years. After serving as Music from Angel Fire’s Executive Administrator for 6 years, she has been named as the Festival General Director. She is currently associated with Executive Directors of Classical Music Festivals of the West; Chamber Music America; the National Endowment for the Arts; and New Mexico Arts.
Lynne Mazza has worked with Music from Angel Fire for since 1991. She has a formal music education, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History and Journalism, as well as a Master of Music degree and Doctoral Studies in Musicology. For over 40 years, she has worked in varied areas of the music industry, including New York's Mostly Mozart Festival, Great Performers Series and the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Merkin Concert Hall, concert management, music publishing and the recording industry. Lynne Mazza was also the Associate Artistic Director and Program Annotator for the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival in Colorado,1990-2010. She currently serves as a consultant for numerous music organizations and performing artists and writes frequently on the arts.
Jean Lehman joined the Music from Angel Fire staff in January of 2009 as Executive Administrator after several years of participation in the Festival as a concert-goer. She studied music in college and has been surrounded by, and involved with music for her entire life. Jean brings with her a strong technical background from working in the computer industry for 16 years, passion and broad experience with graphic arts/photography, and Board of Directors experience with the Santa Fe Association of Realtors (SFAR).
Jean Kenin has been coordinating the Music In Our Schools program of Music from Angel Fire since 2004. She is a teacher, a singer and Executive Director of the New Mexico Community Education Association (NMCEA.org), a non-profit that serves to enhance learning in northern New Mexico by strengthening connections between communities and schools.
