Painted Violin by Linda Wooten-Green

"In reflecting upon the curvilinear shape of my violin the sensuous proportions of a voluptuous woman suggested themselves. Memories of the late works of Pablo Picasso evoking the female form in mythic proportions suggested some possibilities as inspiration for a style. While the design is my own, stylistic influences of late Picasso work is apparent. His "muse" becomes my own in painting an instrument designed to play beautiful music.
